  1. Hi, Pear!
Thanks for sharing this great article! This is important.
Almost two years ago I understood that I need some changes in my diet, because of my teeth health. That decision helped me to improve my overall health and I even lost weight. My mom recently told me that my teeth are whiter than before.
I usually use baking soda and water to rinse my mouth after dinner, and I believe it helped my teeth a lot.
Thanks for these great tips! I bookmarked this article for future use. 🙂

    1. Awwwww, you’ve just made my day learning that you bookmarked my article for future use.
That means a lot to me as my goals of bringing valuable information to families is been fulfilled.
I too use baking soda with water or hydrogen peroxide.
I’m glad you lost weight and your teeth are whiter too… Guessing you can’t stop smiling now 🙂

  2. Hi Pearl! I loved this information, thank you for sharing. I will definitely try these techniques as I do not like to actually bleach my teeth. I am a coffee drinker so I like to try to keep up with white teeth. The strawberry one surprised me because I know they stain fingers and mouths! But I bet that one tastes the best for sure 🙂 Which one of these is your preferred method?

    1. True Strawberry stains the fingers just like Turmeric, but it is the Vitamin C we need from Strawberry.
The vitamin C from Strawberry combined with baking soda is the actual ingredient needed to whiten the teeth.
Don’t be worried about Strawberry staining your teeth.
That’s why you’re advised to brush your teeth with any toothpaste of your choice after the strawberry-baking soda paste has been left on your teeth for 2-3 minutes.

  3. Wow, I did not know there were so many ways to whiten your teeth! Which ones work the best and fastest? I love the banana idea, and I had not heard of this. I eat a banana every day, so I could easily do this one. Lots of great ideas, thanks!

  4. Hi Pearl,
These are great ideas for whitening teeth. I’m definitely trying some of these. Do you happen to know if it’s safe to use more than one method at a time? Or would that just be too hard on your teeth?

      1. Thanks for answering my question. Good to know. And you’re right, use what you have on hand, lol.
        Off to buy charcoal toothpaste!

  5. This is interesting. It never occurred to me to try to use natural whiteners. Some of these seem like they could take the place of toothpaste. Could they?

  6. These are some very useful tips on how to keep your teeth white. I knew about the hydrogen peroxide and baking soda and have been using it off and on. I didn’t know about the banana peel and the apple cider. I don’t trust the regular products in the stores, moreover, they are fairly expensive. Most people have the products you are suggesting in their kitchen, why not using it? By the way, I read a long time ago that eating apples keep your teeth clean, and when I do eat an apple it does give me the sensation of a fresh mouth.
I still would brush my teeth on a regular basis though and then use e.g. apple cider additionally. I do like the suggestion of the charcoal toothpaste as a tooth whitener and will try this one day.
Very easy to follow tips and easy to remember!

  7. Great tips, Pearl. I love them all.
I know about baking soda and have tried it before and except for the taste, it does work.
I am going to try some out.
I did not know about Tumeric though and I think this will be my first try. Keep up the great job, and keep smiling and I know your teeth are white…LOL.

    1. Hi Mich, there are several options for teeth whitening, all you need to do is give them a try, pick your favorite and stick with it.
And Yes, I’ll keep smiling to reveal my white teeth… Lol
About the Turmeric, When you try it, please give us feedback.

  8. Hi Pearl, thanks for those great tips! I personally use activated charcoal powder and I have noticed a difference in my tooth color. I was not aware that crunchy fruit and vegetable help too. Perfect! Now I have even more reasons to eat them 🙂

  9. Hi Pearl,

This article was very interesting. I have never heard of the charcoal or banana peel. I’m still stuck on the banana peel.

However, I will mention a warning – per dentist – that says to use anything baking soda related once OR twice a week. I notice there was no time limit on the first one, baking soda with water.

The reason that I know this is because I used it religiously. My gums were so sensitive. That was because I was using the harshness of the baking soda daily.

    I like Hydrogen Peroxide.

  10. Hi, Pearl!
This is a very informative post. I’ve heard about some of these solutions before. I really hadn’t heard about banana peels or turmeric. I know it is great for so many things, but I hadn’t heard this. We actually take a turmeric supplement. I do have some loose powder, so I think I will try that.
I was wondering if you have used all of these solutions and which ones you think to work the best?
