I know how frustrating it can be to return a sexy dress you love so much because it is a wee bit short and reveals your HOW TO GET RID OF CELLULITE ON THIGHS AND BUTTcellulite.

OR

Avoiding swimming pools because your swimsuit doesn’t cover your lumpy skin.

About 93% of women have cellulite and statistics reveal that women have cellulite more than men because fat is deposited differently in both men and women.

But before I reveal the various methods to get rid of cellulite on thighs and butt, I’ll first of all like us to understand what Cellulite is.

What is Cellulite?

HOW TO GET RID OF CELLULITE ON THIGHS AND BUTTHave you ever looked at your thighs and discovered numerous dimples on it? Yes, that is cellulite.

Cellulite is the appearance of dimples or lumps on the skin. Your skin almost looks like the skin of an orange or cottage cheese.

Cellulite occurs because fat is being deposited under the skin and this fat pushes against the tissues which reveal itself like dimples or lumps.

Common areas where Cellulite can be found are the butt, legs, back of the arms and stomach.

Causes of Cellulite.

  • Poor circulation
  • Lack of exercise
  • Fluid retention
  • Poor diet
  • Weak collagen (the protein that glues your skin to your bones)
  • Overweight
  • Hormonal imbalance
  • Dehydration

Methods To Getting Rid Of Cellulite.

1) Natural home treatments:

  • Bone Broth:HOW TO GET RID OF CELLULITE ON THIGHS AND BUTT

I take a scoop of bone broth powder every morning for breakfast because it not only contains collagen (an important factor to get rid of cellulite, but it’s also a good source of protein.

I also include the bone broth powder into my soup for variety.

The bone broth I consume is the Organic grass-fed beef bone broth protein powder.

  • Foods rich in Potassium and Magnesium:

Foods such as avocado, spinach, green leafy vegetables, wild organic meats, and pumpkin seeds are great examples of healthy foods required to get rid of cellulite.

  • Foods rich in fats:

Wild cod, salmon, and sardines are some examples of foods high in fats. Those who don’t eat fish can substitute with fish oil supplements or an omega 3 supplement (flax seeds, chia seeds, and hemp seeds).

Caution: Avoid sugar, wheat bread, white bread, pasta, salt, potato chips, or any processed or packaged food in general because they will contribute to cellulite build-up.

  • Consume more Collagen:

As explained above, the lack of or weakness of collagen is one of the main reasons for cellulite appearance.

Therefore, replenishing collagen will greatly assist in restoring your once smooth skin.

The collagen protein I use is the Multi Collagen Protein Powder

PS: Pick collagen powders that combine different types of flavors like collagen powders mixed with beef, chicken, fish, and eggshells flavors.

  • Anti-Cellulite supplements:

These supplements get rid of excess cellulite from the body by flushing excess fluid retention and excess cellulite in the body.

Supplements made from herbs such as parsley, sage, and Moringa are some great examples.

You can juice a few of them if not all (if they’re available) and drink.

  • Exercise:

Any kind of exercise will keep your blood pumping enabling fresh and rich blood flow to cellulite affected areas.HOW TO GET RID OF CELLULITE ON THIGHS AND BUTT

But the exercise I follow is part of  My Cellulite solution.

This exercise is very convenient even if you don’t have enough exercise time, and doesn’t require any special diets

  • Dry brushing:

Dry brushing increases blood circulation to the affected area, but this is only a temporary fix as cellulite can resurface.

  • Essential Oils:

Essential oils like ginger, black pepper, cypress, and grapefruit will also increase the circulation to the area. But just like dry brushing, this is only a temporary fix.

However, if you decide to use essential oils, massage the area for 5 minutes to increase circulation in the area and ensure that the oil is absorbed into the skin.

2) Microneedling:

HOW TO GET RID OF CELLULITE ON THIGHS AND BUTTMicroneedling was first introduced in Chinese medicine where tiny needles were introduced into the skin to promote skin rejuvenation.

These needles create tiny holes on the skin stimulating the production of collagen and elastin needed to grow a smooth and cellulite-free skin.

I have spoken in length about micro needling in another post.

3) Non-invasive surgery:

Lasers, ultrasounds, and Radio Frequencies are non-invasive surgery methods used to get rid of cellulite.HOW TO GET RID OF CELLULITE ON THIGHS AND BUTT

You know when you put fat in a heated pan and it melts right? That’s basically what happens in these non-invasive surgeries.

Heat is introduced onto the skin to melt the fat accumulated under the skin and the melted fat can be sometimes removed or pushed back into the muscles in the surrounding areas.

The heated skin, after a few treatments, rejuvenates a new and smoother skin which is exactly what happens when stretch marks are being removed.

Cons: The costs for these procedures vary, but will become expensive in the long run as you will need to pay for several sessions.

You are required to return for maintenance purposes in a few months or years, and these sessions are not free.

So, in general, these procedures are quite costly.

4) Shockwave therapy:

The number of Shockwaves is dependent on the area of the affected skin. First, a cool gel is applied before the shock waves are introduced into the skin.

Three different methods are used to deliver shock waves to the affected area.

  • Spot treatment:

This involves using a spot cellulite device to introduce shock waves into the skin in individual areas (spots) where cellulite is found.

Cons: Some already treated areas can be repeated as well as some areas will be missed.

  • Cellulite massage:

Shock waves are introduced using long strokes ending towards the lymph nodes (the lymph nodes are found towards the groin)

  • Snaking method:

This method is the most effective as it involves using snake-like movements to send shock waves into the skin.

Pros: With this method, it is difficult to miss any spot as a large surface area is covered.

SO WHAT ARE YOU WAITING FOR?

It’s quite unfortunate that thigh massage brushes, detox pills, and creams are not as effective in getting rid of cellulite because they’re only a temporal solution. However, a more permanent solution will be My Cellulite solution.

This service is very convenient even if you don’t have enough exercise time, it doesn’t require any special diets, ask questions at any point in time and most importantly, there is a 60-day money-back guarantee if you don’t like the service.

  1. Hi there,
I am 42 and I never had a problem with cellulite, not until last summer. I know I am not exercising as I used to and my diet is a little poor as I have problems with my stomach. I heard collagen is good for your skin, but I didn’t know that it’s good for cellulite too. Your article is informative and it helped me a lot. Thank you

  2. Hey Pearl!
I have many friends that’ll benefit from this post because many of them are dealing with this exact issue, especially my friends that have had children. I’ll have to send them your way. Bone broth has so many benefits as it is, I wouldn’t even think about it being used to help with cellulite as well! I was just curious how you like to take the broth in the morning as well as what you mix the collagen with.
I’ve heard of micro needling for wrinkles before too…Pretty cool it can be used for cellulite too! I guess anything helping the body make more collagen is positive across the board!
Thanks for the post and all the helpful varieties of ways to get rid of cellulite that I can share with friends:)

    1. Oh wow, Jennifer
I’m glad to learn that you’ve found a solution to your friends’ problem.
Yes, I drink bone broth every morning.

      Bone broth shake recipe
      -1 cup of blueberries/strawberries
      -1/2 bananas
      -1/2 teaspoon cinnamon
-1 cup of coconut milk (or any milk of your choice)
-I scoop of bone broth powder
Then blend and you’re set to go. Note that you can replace any of these ingredients with what you’re comfortable drinking.

      I mix the collagen with
      -cold water
      -warm water
      -milk
      -Tea
      -Smoothie

Note: water usually clumps the collagen, so to achieve a smooth texture, use a fork to stir.
But if you’re making a smoothie, there’s no need to stir it; just blend together with the other ingredients.

      1. Cool! Thanks for the recipes. Even as a chef I don’t have a bone broth smoothie recipe. Lol Is the broth powder flavored, or does it taste like strawberry bones? Haha jk

        1. Lol, Jen, you’re quite funny.
The bone broth isn’t flavored, so the smoothie will taste like whatever you decide to add to the smoothie.
For instance, the smoothie’s taste will be a mixture of banana, strawberry, and milk if you decide that’s what you want to add to your smoothie.

  3. Hi Pearl!
I have read up a lot on the Bone Broth and it has so many positive things about it. I did not know that there was a powder! Can you taste it in the soup? I definitely will be checking that link out. Thank you for this! I was considering making my own but it is pretty labor intensive. If I could just throw a little into my soup, I will do that instead!

    1. Hi, Elizabeth.
Yes, bone broth has a lot of benefits.
Generally, tasting broth in a soup will depend on the quantity of the soup and the ingredients found in the soup.
I don’t taste the broth in my soup because other ingredients like garlic, ginger, and pepper mask the taste of the broth.
So, I don’t even notice that the bone broth powder is in my soup.

  4. Oh, thank you so much for all the great methods to get rid of that nasty cellulite. I love the preventative methods as well as the solutions for existing cellulite. I have suffered long enough with this disgusting cottage cheese on my thighs. I’m one of those that return things because they show it off, but I’m going to try some of these products and see how it goes. Thanks again! Love it!!!

    1. LOL Babsie,
You made me laugh when you referred to cellulite as “that nasty cellulite.”
Leaving all jokes aside, cellulite is really disgusting and should be gotten rid of as fast as possible.
That’s why I rely on my cellulite solution
The exercise is very convenient even if you don’t have enough exercise time, and doesn’t require any special diets.
You can ask questions at any point in time and most importantly, there is a 60-day money-back guarantee if you don’t like the service.
Really, there’s nothing to lose if you decide to give it a try.

  5. Hello Pearl,
Great article…some of the things you mentioned, I had no idea about…micro-needling, snaking…oh my Lord…what will they think of next. I like you first suggestion. I will try it out…I am maturing as we speak and I see a little cellulite in the midst…lol.
I will let you know how it turns out.
    Keep up the great job.
    Michelle

    1. Yeah, there are so many remedies out there for cellulite.
There’s no need to entertain it… Kick cellulite far off in the best way you can.
Great to know you will give it a try.
I’m excited to know how it’ll turn out for you.
      Youpiii.

  6. Hi Pearl. What a great informative article. I had no idea, lol.
I’ve always been told that there’s nothing you can do for cellulite. Nice to know that there is!
I’m fortunate enough to have very little, but I’m sure it will increase with age. Some of these remedies are really interesting. I like the fact that there are powders you can add to drinks and soups and such.
Have you tried this “micro needling”? Never heard of that one but looks interesting.
    Cheers,
    Suzanne

    1. Hey Suzie, don’t listen to anyone who says there is no solution for Cellulite because there’s a solution for everything; you just need to know where to look.
Yes, I have used micro needling and still use it till date.
I used it to solve my stretch marks and cellulite and still use it once a week to keep both of them away.
However, my ideal method to get rid of cellulite and keep it away is following the exercise from my cellulite solution.

  7. Hi Pearl,

I appreciate this article because you give options to give rid of cellulite. There are two things that I appreciate that you mentioning:

    1. You mention exercise. Exercise is a sure fine way to get rid of cellulite.
    2. I’ve only heard of dry brushing twice; however, I never heard that the method was temporal. I’m happy to hear that opinion. I started dry brush about two years ago and got so bored with it.

    Thanks for this.
